Cons

– Competing with other people on the marketplace

– Not as competitive prices as other POD services

– Considerably slow shipping times, especially for domestic standards

– Shipping prices are inconsistent (vary from product to product)

Pricing – How does it work?

Creating an account with Teespring is completely free. What you’re paying for is the POD service + fulfillment. Each product has a price next to it and once added to cart, that plus shipping is the price of your product. Teespring lets you work-out your profit margins for each product super easily, with a markup % calculator that’s easy to adjust and use.

Teespring also lets you create your own store within their marketplace. This is completely free to do as well and can provide you with great free traffic.

When you create a product with Teespring, it will give you the “base” costs and then once you’ve selected your colors, designs, and sizes it will give you the cost to make the tee. It’s still relatively cheap, usually only costs an extra $1-2 after everything is completed.

Once your designs are finished, you’ll then decide on the price that you want to sell your product. Teespring software makes this super easy for you and can calculate the price based on a set markup or % based markup. This is also easy to adjust if you want to create promotional offers and/or incentives to your customers.

Now that you’ve published your designs, your chosen price to sell and product will be displayed on both your Teespring store and in the Teespring marketplace.

In this example, you can see the exact same Gildan tee at their markup price of £21.16 (around $29). They’ve also based their store around the niche fishing “Fishing Shirts!” focusing on a niche rather than creating a brand.

In Summary – Whose it for?

Teespring is a great POD solution for those who are:

  • Trusted, reliable and known company
  • Not have their own eCommerce store/sell products directly through the POD
  • Niche-based based stores (not necessary, just catered towards)
